Wildlife photography tour at Mangalajodi wetland is birding paradise. Bird in action photography can be a challenging but rewarding experience for photographers who are passionate about nature and wildlife photography. Mangalajodi wetland is the perfect place for bird in action moment. It's located in Odisha, extended part of Chilika lake.

Bird In Action
Every year many migratory birds visit Mangalajodi wetland in winter time. Purple heron with snake & bull frog - Grey heron with Frog - Black Headed Ibis with snake and frog - And at the same time Brahminy kite trying to snatch the kill from them. Witnessing these kind of awesome moments, you should visit Mangalajodi wetland at least once in February, when the water level is low.

Bird in action photography involves capturing images of birds in motion, such as flying, hunting, or interacting with other birds. It requires a combination of skill, patience, and the right equipment to produce stunning and dynamic images. To capture birds in action, it is important to use a fast shutter speed to freeze the motion and a continuous autofocus mode to keep the subject sharp. The use of a telephoto lens is also essential to get close to the subject and capture details.
Photographers should be familiar with the behavior of the birds they are photographing, as this can help them anticipate movements and capture the perfect moment. It is also important to be patient and wait for the right opportunity to arise, as birds may not always behave as expected.
Post-processing techniques can be used to enhance the final image, such as adjusting exposure, color balance, and sharpness. However, it is important to remember that the goal of bird in action photography is to capture the beauty and natural behavior of these creatures, and not to create an artificial or staged scene.
Itinerary
DAY ONE
05:00 PM: Start journey from Bhubaneswar Rail Station / Airport.
7:30 PM: Check in and freshen up.
9:00 PM: Dinner Time.
DAY TWO
4:30 AM: Wake up and ready for Bhetanai.
5:00 AM: Start journey for Bhetanai. On the way, we will cover White bellied sea eagle, Brahminy kites with fish and at the and Blackbuck. Lunch will be on the way.
5:30 PM: We will return to Mangalajodi after sunset.
8:00 PM: We will reach our home stay.
9:00 PM: Dinner Time
DAY THREE & FOUR
05:30 AM: Wake up and get ready for Boat safari.
6:30-9:30 AM: Boat safari at MangalaJodi wetland. We will be witnessed different migratory birds and action moments.
10:00 AM: Breakfast. After that, photography discussion and post processing session.
1:00 PM: Lunch
2:00-5:30 PM: Afternoon Boat safari.
9:00 PM: Dinner Time.
DAY FIVE
05:30 AM: Wake up and get ready for Boat safari.
6:30-9:30 AM: Morning Boat safari at MangalaJodi wetland.
10:00 AM: Breakfast. After that, photography discussion and post processing session.
1:00 PM: Lunch
2:00-5:30 PM: Afternoon Boat safari.
6:30 PM: We will check out and will reach Airport/rail Station by 9:00 PM.
*Please Note: Day 2 Bhetanai and Aska for Brahminy kite and blackbuck is available with extra cost. If you want to join for day 2 plan, let me know at the time of booking the tour.
